WYN Legal have been appointed by the Government of Bahrain’s Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to lead a trade delegation of over 15 UK businesses within the events and wedding sector to the Kingdom of Bahrain. UK businesses included, 1SW Events, Anisha Vasani Creates, Asian Wedding Directory, EEL, Event Gurus Kudos, Media House Global, Muse Motion Pictures, Priti Raichura Events, Professional Asian, Sagar Vyas wedding and events and The Happy Bride Co. The tour was coordinated by by Mayur Shikotra (Chief Marketing Officer).
The law firm’s events and wedding law group led the delegation from 27th April 2024 to 30 April 2024 on a tour which included visits and meetings with numerous hotels and businesses based in Bahrain. The visit included meetings with Government officials such as the recently appointed CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Sara Ahmed Buhiji and Dr Ali Hassan Follad, the advisor to the BTEA as well as meeting with the management of hotels such as the Four Seasons Bahrain, Sofitel, Raffles, Jumeirah, and The Royal Saray.
The objective of the tour was to encourage more inward investment into the Kingdom of Bahrain and in particular, through more British consumers and businesses choosing Bahrain as a destination of choice for weddings and events.
The tour formed part of an overall strategy being deployed by the Government of Bahrain’s Island Wedding Campaign to increase inward investment into the Kingdom by way of weddings and events.
Her Excellency Mrs Sara Ahmed Bouhji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority confirmed that the “organisation of this introductory trip allows businesses and entities working in the wedding planning sector from traders and institutions the opportunity to learn about the Bahraini wedding sector closely, and also provides a unique opportunity to promote a wide range of services related to the sector. Hosting weddings offered by the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as a review of sites, distinctive destinations and luxury world hotels celebrated by the Bahraini tourism and hospitality sector.”
